  • Drop us a synopsis.

What to do with that great story idea you never actually got around to writing? Send it to us, we’re always on the lookout for great characters, stories and worlds to develop. And now we’re open to submissions.

So leave us a logline and drop us a synopsis. If accepted by our Editorial Board, we'll post the concept to our community of Macguffins to either redlight or greenlight. If your idea is greenlit, we'll offer you a development agreement, build a team to collaborate on a pilot, raise capital for development, and shop the pilot to media partners.

You can also visit our Jobs Board to apply for open roles on creative teams. Visit our Teams pages to see current and upcoming projects.

  • Invest in characters.

At Macguffin Co., we curate promising concepts to develop into books, films, games, and merchandise.

If a Concept is greenlit, we create a Pilot. That is, we assemble creative teams to storyboard, illustrate, write, and strategize about turning the concept into a multimedia franchise - and develop a prototype.

If the Pilot is greenlit, it means we think we have something - a character, a storyline, a world - worth investing time, energy and money to fully develop. So we’ll work with an SEC registered intermediary to launch an investment offering. An Offering is an invitation to invest in a share of the future revenue of the franchise.

With the capital raised, we’ll fully develop the franchise and license the intellectual property rights to media partners, generating returns for creatives and investors.

The entire creative process, from Concept to Offering, is covered in GUFF: Macguffin’s Character Issues, and sent to subscribers’ in-boxes weekly.
