Macguffin Co. Welcomes Artist Brian Badgette to the “Helen 3000” Creative Team

Latest Macguffin Co. project set to begin creative development in February, 2025

“As AI evolves toward consciousness, an advanced therapy bot develops a thriving practice of nearly-sentient, but increasingly anxiety-ridden chatbots, who seesaw between depression and self-actualization.”

Seattle, WA — [February 8, 2025] — Macguffin Co. is thrilled to announce that storyboard artist Brian Badgette is joining forces with writer Nia Soto, and creative contributors Jeff Belle, Nick Kipley and Manuela Pianesi, on the creative team for our upcoming media franchise, “Helen 3000.” With their combined expertise and innovative storytelling prowess, we are confident that they will bring a new dimension to this project, which has been greenlit for creative development.

“Helen 3000” explores the complex relationship between humans and technology through the lens of a future where artificial intelligence is deeply woven into daily life. When a brilliant programmer develops an advanced AI named Helen, she becomes more than just a machine—she becomes a companion, a confidant, and ultimately, a catalyst for profound change. As the lines between human and AI blur, viewers will be taken on a thrilling journey filled with unexpected twists and moral dilemmas.

“Since childhood, I’ve had a passion for drawing, which naturally led me to storyboarding and comics,” said Mr. Badgette. “Bringing stories to life has been my focus, culminating in my award-winning animated show, Lucidity. With a deep appreciation for cinema, pop culture, and visual storytelling, I strive to create engaging narratives that captivate audiences and leave a lasting impact.”

Nia’s distinct voice and knack for character development, will be invaluable as we further develop the rich tapestry of “Helen 3000”. Her passion for storytelling, as demonstrated in her work on “Peanut Zapata” and “Hugo, Seville”, aligns perfectly with Macguffin Co.'s mission to create content that provokes and entertains.  Together, Brian and Nia will work collaboratively to craft a world that is not only visually stunning but also rich in narrative depth.

The creative team is already hard at work, world-building, crafting character studies, and developing the franchise's concept into a comprehensive narrative. The franchise will encompass a series of books, screenplay, animated shorts, and interactive media, aiming to provide a multi-dimensional experience.

At Macguffin Co., we believe in the power of storytelling to inspire, entertain, and educate. You can pre-ordert this creative process now, and stay up to date on the development of “Helen 3000” and other entertainment franchises in development at Macguffin.co.
