Macguffin Co. Welcomes Bobby Henwood and Devin Nealy to “The Turnbuckle Brigade” Writing Team
Creative Development Set to Kick Off in January 2025
[Seattle, WA] – [December 20, 2024] – Macguffin Co. today announced the addition of writers Bobby Henwood and Devin Nealy as the newest additions to its creative development team. Mr. Henwood and Mr. Nealy join creator Jason Baldwin and acclaimed comic artist Walter Vasquez on “The Turnbuckle Brigade”, a WWII historical action/comedy, set to begin creative development in January 2025.

“The Turnbuckle Brigade” promises to blend humor, history, and heart in a thrilling new adventure. Set against the backdrop of the vibrant wrestling scene of the early 20th century, the story follows a group of unlikely heroes who are recruited from the ranks of professional wrestling to rescue an ancient relic from the clutches of the Axis Powers, before it can be used to turn the tide of the war. With a unique blend of wrestling antics, witty dialogue, and pulse-pounding action, this story is sure to resonate with audiences of all ages, as the unlikely heroes save the world, one suplex at a time.
Bobby Henwood is best known for the animated feature film Henchmen, the television series Beyblade Burst, and was on the production team for Netflix’ The Willoughbys. He’s been a long-time contributing writer for East Side Games’ mobile smash hits, including Trailer Park Boys: Greasy Money, Cheech & Chong Bud Farm, AEW: Rise to the Top, and Bud Farm Idle Tycoon.
Joining Mr. Henwood is blogger and novelist Devin Nealy, who blends deep subject matter expertise on the history of professional wrestling with well-honed skills in character development and plotting. After starting his storytelling journey in student films, Devin became obsessed with screenplays and the process of developing stories on the printed page.
