Position Overview:

As an Illustrator for The Schmoranges, you will play a vital role in shaping the visual identity of our children’s entertainment franchise in development. You’ll have the opportunity to create original artwork that captures the essence of our story and resonates with young audiences. From charming character designs to captivating environments, your illustrations will be a key element of our storytelling, sparking curiosity and wonder in children and parents alike.

Key Responsibilities:
- Create original character designs that embody the quirky spirit of our franchise, including the children, aliens, and their strange interactions.
- Illustrate engaging scenes and backgrounds that enhance the narrative and immerse children in the world of The Schmoranges.
- Collaborate with our creative team, including writers and art directors, to ensure a cohesive visual style that aligns with the story’s themes and tone.
- Adapt and refine your illustrations based on feedback while maintaining the integrity of your artistic vision.
- Contribute ideas during brainstorming sessions and participate in discussions about character development, storylines, and visual concepts.
- Meet project deadlines and manage your time effectively to ensure a smooth production process.

Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Illustrator, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work, particularly in children’s media or similar genres.
- Proficiency in traditional and/or digital illustration techniques, with a solid understanding of color theory, composition, and character design.
- A passion for storytelling and a deep understanding of what resonates with young audiences.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
- A positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and a love for creativity and imagination!
- Familiarity with industry-standard software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) or similar tools.
- A degree in Illustration, Fine Arts, Graphic Design, or a related field is a plus, but not required.
